S.O.S. Albertine

Our long-time friend Albertine, who had emigrated to Ottawa to adorn the rooftop at Cheddar Et Cetera, is looking for a new home.   On May 1st, Cheddar Et Cetera will be closing its doors and our mascot, well-loved by Franco-Ontarians, represents what we hold most precious will be in need of a home.  Having grown from her experience with the City of Ottawa Municipal Council, she would like to regain her independence yet live in an area that is dear to her heart.  This is why she would like to find a family here in town to adopt her.

Do you think you would be a good prospect as adoptive mother or father for our mascot? St-Albert Cheese would be happy to give you a chance to adopt our beloved Albertine and bring her home!

This contest is open to all, be it individuals, an organization or a company.  What you need to do:  take a picture of yourself with one of our fiberglass Albertines (selfie) and post it in the section created for the contest on the St-Albert Cheese Facebook page: Fromagerie St-Albert Co-op Inc. (Officiel/Official).

Please note that Albertine, weighing in at 100 lbs, 8’ tall,   11.5’ long and 3’ wide, is not a feather weight; she is a life-size representation of a 1500 lbs cow!  This means that she will require a certain amount a space at her new home.

St-Albert Cheese will provide transportation to her new home.

Please note that we are also planning a good-bye ceremony on the day she leaves for her new home.

Good luck to all participants!
