Restaurant Team Leader – part time – AF2016-0010

Role and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of the Restaurant Manager, the Team Leader oversees the daily operation of the restaurant.  He must provide support to restaurant employees during day to day operations and also support the Manager in putting in place an exceptional customer service experience. This is to be accomplished while observing all proper procedures for health and safety, sanitation, quality rules and standards and maintaining a good work environment.

 

Main TASKS:

  • Assist in having, an exceptional customer service experience; welcoming customers, answering questions and assisting customers as needed, handling complaints, granting returns and refunds
  • In the absence of the Manager and Assistant Manager, manage back of the house and front of the house staff and ensure good communications between both teams
  • Assist the Manager in the day to day operations; as preparation and cooking of the food, delivering exceptional customer service, managing cash, keeping the restaurant clean and supporting employees in their daily tasks
  • Act as a leader and help develop staff through training and follow-up
  • Respect and enforce rules: established for health and safety, hygiene, sanitation and food handling, at all times
  • Assist in training and development for all staff
  • Responsible for opening and closing the restaurant
  • Perform all other related duties

 

Experiences and Training:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum six (6) months experience in a similar position

Work schedule as required by the restaurant (day, evening and weekend)

Curiosity:  Loves to learn and maintain best practices and trends in the field

Excellent communication skills: Communicates effectively both verbally and in written and has strong interpersonal skills

Independent: Exercises autonomy in carrying out the responsibilities entrusted to him

Knowledge of MS Office

Bilingual: English and French, spoken and written
