Restaurant Cashier (Part-time / Students) – REF2017-0002

Role and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Restaurant Manager, the Cashier is responsible for taking orders delivering an exceptional customer service. This need to be completed while respecting the rules for health and safety, sanitation, quality and maintaining a good work environment.

Main Tasks:

  • Ensure an exceptional customer service experience; welcoming customers, courtesy, answering questions and assisting customers as needed, as well as handling complaints
  • Take customer orders and assemble the order with speed efficiency and care
  • Accepting payment and is responsible for managing their cash register
  • Ability to follow recipes as requested and use all equipment appropriately and safely
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all equipment and the workplace
  • Clean tables and counters, at all times, ensure the cleanliness of the dining room and washrooms
  • Respect and enforce rules: established for health and safety, hygiene, sanitation and food handling, at all times
  • Able to work well within a team
  • Perform all other related duties

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Work schedule as required by the restaurant (day, evening and weekend)

    • Curiosity: Loves to learn and maintain best practices and trends in the field
    • Excellent communication skills: Communicates effectively both verbally and in written and has strong interpersonal skills
    • Independent: Exercises autonomy in carrying out the responsibilities entrusted to him
    • Bilingual: English and French, spoken and written
