YOUR CHALLENGES :

  • Conduct analyzes of microbiological, chemical and physical tests at different stages of production
  • Collect environmental samples (water, air, phages, surfaces, tools and fingers)
  • Plate, identify, incubate and read different samples
  • Process out of specification results
  • Prepare and send samples for external analysis
  • Ensure continuous follow-up with the external laboratory
  • Maintain the proper functioning of equipment used in the laboratory
  • Calibrate equipment
  • Perform all required tasks.

WHAT YOU HAVE :

  • College diploma in food science or other relevant combination of training and work experience
  • Completed microbiology or laboratory techniques courses
  • Experience in a similar position, preferably in a food industry
  • Knowledge of Good manufacturing practices in the food industry
  • Knowledge of the dairy industry (asset)
  • Knowledge of HACCP and SQF standards (asset)
  • Excellent team work ability and adaptability
  • Ability to work with a positive attitude within a fast pace and dynamic environment
  • Good organizational skills
  • Knowledge of the MS Office suite
  • Bilingualism

Work Schedule: Day, evenings with weekends rotation.

1 year temporary position.
