YOUR CHALLENGES :
- Conduct analyzes of microbiological, chemical and physical tests at different stages of production
- Collect environmental samples (water, air, phages, surfaces, tools and fingers)
- Plate, identify, incubate and read different samples
- Process out of specification results
- Prepare and send samples for external analysis
- Ensure continuous follow-up with the external laboratory
- Maintain the proper functioning of equipment used in the laboratory
- Calibrate equipment
- Perform all required tasks.
WHAT YOU HAVE :
- College diploma in food science or other relevant combination of training and work experience
- Completed microbiology or laboratory techniques courses
- Experience in a similar position, preferably in a food industry
- Knowledge of Good manufacturing practices in the food industry
- Knowledge of the dairy industry (asset)
- Knowledge of HACCP and SQF standards (asset)
- Excellent team work ability and adaptability
- Ability to work with a positive attitude within a fast pace and dynamic environment
- Good organizational skills
- Knowledge of the MS Office suite
- Bilingualism
Work Schedule: Day, evenings with weekends rotation.
1 year temporary position.
