Under the responsibility of the Human Resources Director, the HRBP will support St-Albert Cheese in their business objectives achievement through out a successful management of our Health & Safety process and policy, leadership and organizational competency development, Employee performance management and evaluation process as well as succession planning. The HRBP makes sure to maintain the proximity and a positive and effective communication with employees, supervisors and managers in order to support them in the implementation of overall HR activities. With a focus on H&S activities, the HRBP will support the promotion of the best Health and Safety and Hygiene practices as well as H&S awareness in the workplace. In addition to accident prevention, as well as the administration of St-Albert Cheese H&S action plan in order to provide St Albert Cheese employees a positive and safe work environment.

YOUR CHALLENGES:

Human Resources Activities

  • Work with the HR team to support and assist managers and supervisors in the implementation of overall HR activities and HR action plan
  • Support the HR team in the management and development of St-Albert Cheese talents
  • Ensure and monitor the implementation of the training and competency development activities including the performance evaluation process, monitoring of disciplinary measures
  • Ensure and monitor Total Compensation activities including the development of employee retention and recognition tools; as well as the administration of our employee benefits program
  • Process internal communications with employees as required
  • Work with the HR team at all times for the development, implementation and monitoring of the best HR practices.

Occupational health and safety activities

  • Participate in the development and implementation of Health and Safety strategies, training programs, procedures and tools
  • Work with managers, supervisors and external suppliers on the development of an OHS culture and promote the development of safe attitudes and behaviors; in order to ensure the application of the best OHS and Hygiene practices at St-Albert Cheese
  • Investigate and analyze incidents and / or accidents
  • Complete H&S inspections and audits, and complete H&S reports
  • Interpret and ensure proper application of H&S laws and make recommendations to ensure overall stakeholders’ compliance
  • Update H&S KPI’s (training, accident / incident, non-conformities); and any other reports HT related HR relevant activities
  • Make recommendations, start and monitor new H&S projects implementation
  • Ensure regular monitoring and control of the H&S action plan and ensure compliance with H&S regulations for employees and subcontractors
  • Play a leadership role within St-Albert Cheese OHS committee
  • Organize meetings with OHS committee members, promote positive communication and H&S awareness

WHAT YOU HAVE:

  • University degree with a Human Resources orientation or any other combination of equivalent training and experience.
  • Training / Certificate in health and safety (an asset)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience. Experience in an industrial environment is an asset.
  • Very good working knowledge of Ontario laws, health and safety (OHSA) industry policies, regulations and standards, knowledge of manufacturing an asset.
  • Excellent level of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Excellent French and English level (verbal and written)
  • Excellent planning, organization skills and rigor
