Machine Operator (Sodeva) – Full-time – AF2016-0008
Role and Responsibilities :
Under the supervision of the Production’s Supervisors, the Cutting Room Operator is responsible for operating the ultrasound cutting machine and the Hyppo sealer for our various formats of products. He coordinates the packaging process while respecting all health and safety, food safety, quality and production rules and regulations in place.
Main Tasks :
- Operate the ultrasound cutter and the Hyppo sealer for all different formats
- Coordinate the entire process of cutting and packaging according to the production plan established
- Wash, sanitize and perform equipment maintenance
- Complete all production and packaging reports
- Perform format changeovers and basic equipment maintenance
- Perform all tasks and activities in a safe manner and in accordance with the quality standards in force (HACCP)
- Follow company policies and procedures for St-Albert Cheese
- Perform all other related duties
Qualifications and Work Schedule :
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent or equivalent internal or external experience
- Be able to lift weights that may exceed 20 Kg
- Be able to handle chemicals
- Available to work on different work shift
- Work schedule mainly night time, start time between 12pm (noon) and 4pm. Schedule can change to accommodate production needs
- Pay rate according to company policies
Skills Required :
- Possesses and demonstrates mechanical skills
- Has a sense of responsibility and autonomy
- Has and demonstrate computer skills, knowledge of MS Office
- Is thorough and pays attention to detail
- Is versatile, flexible and reliable
- Has an open mind and able to adapt to changes
