WHAT TO EXPECT

Reporting to the Business Development Director, the Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for establishing & achieving annual targets for foodservice and retail accounts within their territory. They contribute to the success of St- Albert Cheese while maximizing business growth through an exceptional customer service. They are also responsible for seeking new customers, in addition to maintaining current customers.

YOUR CHALLENGES

  • Development of annual business plan(s) in support of annual goals and objectives with existing accounts;
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within your territory;
  • Manage key accounts with an eye on profitability;
  • Provide strategic direction on potential new channel opportunities aimed at driving incremental volume for the company;
  • Effectively manage trade spend with the assigned foodservice distributors and key retailers;
  • Development of customer presentations, business reviews and proposals with the goal of retaining existing business and driving new sales through targeted trading partners;
  • Other related tasks requested by the Director of business development.

WHAT YOU HAVE

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Foodservice Sales, or similar experience;
  • Undergraduate degree in business, management, or other relevant discipline or equivalent experience ;
  • Understands and practices “solution selling” while maintaining strong planning, analytical, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Proven track record of success in foodservice sales;
  • Prior experience in selling both private label and nationally branded products and understanding or experience in dairy industry considered an asset;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office;
  • Availability to work on weekends occasionally;
  • Availability to attend tradeshows;
  • Must be resident of their respective territory;
  • Results oriented;

  • Analytical skills, problem solving and decision making;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Resourcefulness;
  • Teamwork ability;
  • Open minded; Independent;
  • Excellent Planning and organizational skills;
  • Bilingual: French (advanced) and English (moderate).

Status: Full time

Work Schedule: Day, Monday to Friday
