YOUR CHALLENGES :

  • Planning quality strategies and goals consistent with the company’s objective to converge toward excellence;
  • Provide leadership, support and advice in terms of total quality for the organization;
  • Establish and ensure quality procedures are respected to obtain and maintain required certifications to produce cheese products, and set a total quality culture within the company;
  • Manage complaints, identify causes and find improvement solutions;
  • Manage preventive and corrective action plans;
  • Organise staff training programmes relating to frequent quality problems;
  • Perform or take part in the drafting of quality manuals;
  • Organise internal audits;
  • Work towards obtaining and retaining various quality certifications needed by the company (CFIA, HACCP, GFSI, ISO etc.);
  • Follow and enforce current regulations for the cheese industry sector (production, packaging, labelling, cleaning, sanitation, weight et measurement);
  • Evaluate the team’s performance and is responsible of skills development;
  • Respect the department’s budgetary expectations;

WHAT YOU HAVE:

  • Hold a bachelor degree in food sciences and technology, biology, chemistry or other relevant discipline. A combination of scolarity and equivalent experiences would also be considered;
  • Possess a minimum of five (5) years experience in a similar position;
  • Extensive knowledge of the industry-specific regulation and best practices;
  • Be up to date on laboratory techniques;
  • Show great leadership and team mobilization engagement;
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills;
  • Good knowledge of MS Office;
  • Be fluent in both French and English.
