Restaurant Manager – Contract RF0021
Role and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Store/Restaurant Coordinator, the Restaurant Manager oversees all operations of the Restaurant. He/She must provide leadership to the Restaurant employees during the day to day operations, as well as support the Coordinator in putting into effect an Exceptional Customer Service Program for the Guests. This needs to be accomplished while respecting the rules and laws for Health and Safety, Quality, Cleanliness and maintaining a positive working environment.
Main Tasks
- Put into effect an Exceptional Customer Service Program for the Guests; including but not limited to welcoming Guests, leading by example, common courtesy and respect, answering questions and assisting Guests as needed, handling complaints, granting returns and refunds.
- Responsible for Sales targets and profitability, strategic planning, preparation and follow-up of Action Plans, providing sound management and leadership of the Restaurant, Menu development and portion controls, food cost, inventory control, placing orders, receiving stock, stock rotation, work schedules and budgeting of hours.
- Manage daily operations of the Restaurant.
- Recruit, coach, discipline, develop, appraise, and train Restaurant employees in various different capacities and assignments.
- Managing both the Front/Back of the House teams and ensure that there is excellent synergy and productivity for both groups.
- Respect and enforce rules and laws established for Health and Safety, hygiene, sanitation and Food handling at all times.
- Assisting in preparation, cooking, and serving of Guests for both the Front/Back of the House, when necessary. Cannot be afraid to “get their hands dirty”.
- Actively participates in the recruitment and defining of labour requirements for the operation of the Restaurant.
- Take an active role in establishing Promotional and Marketing initiatives.
- Responsible for Opening and Closing of the Restaurant.
- Perform all other Restaurant related tasks.
Qualifications and Experiences
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- College degree in Restaurant Manager, Hospitality Management or Chef training or any appropriate discipline.
- Safe Serve certification is an asset.
- Minimum one year experience in a similar position.
- Work schedule as required by the Restaurant (days, evenings and some weekends).

- Independent: Exercises autonomy in carrying out the responsibilities entrusted to him
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Bilingual: English and French, spoken and written
