ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, the Cheesemaker Cheese responsible for making cheese according to established standards. He ensures the quality of the cheeses while respecting all health and safety, food safety, quality and production rules and regulations in place.
MAIN TASKS
- Follow proper cheese manufacturing process
- Analyze and validate milk including ingredients and make proper adjustments as needed
- Help with the logistics for production employees
- Follow proper procedure regarding quality and HACCP program
- Complete all production and manufacturing reports
- Follow company policies and procedures for St-Albert Cheese
- Transfer, pasteurizing, analyze the milk into the VAT
- Participate into the implementation of the Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Perform all other related duties
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCES
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent or equivalent internal (mandatory)
- Training in cheese making (asset)
- Be able to lift weights that may exceed 20 Kg and be able to handle chemicals
- Available to work on different work shift. Schedule can change to accommodate production needs
- Pay rate according to company policies
- Experience in cheese manufacturing
- Knowledge of our products would be an asset
