Three cheers for us! St-Albert Cheese definitely shined on October 24th during the Prescott-Russell Excellence Gala, taking home three of the sixteen awards that evening. St-Albert Cheese is the proud recipient of the Tourism Enterprise Award as well as the Manufacturing Business Award, no less!
During the planning and rebuilding process, the facilities were designed with Tourism and anticipated increased traffic in mind. Management aims at attracting over 1 million visitors over the next few years.
Epicurians from all regions come to sample the delicious dishes featuring St-Albert cheese prepared at the new restaurant as well as the fine food products sold at the food boutique. However, the main attraction is the viewing corridor, with its large windows overlooking the production area, is definitely the focal point for those inquiring minds interested in learning how cheese is made. The interpretive panels installed in the corridor explain each stage of production, making it a must see for the little ones and the fans of St-Albert cheeses.
Réjean Ouimet was also honoured
The third award for St-Albert was given to former General Manager, Réjean Ouimet. He brought home the very coveted Emeritus Award, the one given to very passionate people who have contributed and left their mark on the business world of the region.
