Bilingual HR Coordinator / Talent Acquisition Specialist-2022-0017


 Reporting to Human Capital Director, The HR Coordinator participates daily in supporting and facilitating all the basic human resources functions with a focus on Talent Acquisition & Recruitment activities. For instance, the person in this position actively participates in the recruitment process and will be addressing employee relations questions and managing employee files, benefits administration, as well as processing and updating HR reports and database and updating HR processes and policies. In addition, the responsibilities of the HR Coordinator may be changing based on the HR department operational requirements.


       Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:

  • Support different departments for their respective staffing requirements and new talent acquisition and participate in the creation of a pool of viable candidates for overall St-Albert Cheese departments.
  • Participate in the full cycle recruiting process including selection, interviews, administration of tests, background checks (criminal record and referral), etc.
  • Support the HR Department in building solid recruitment strategies for attracting qualified candidates and fulfilling overall St-Albert Cheese Staffing requirements.
  • Update / Create job descriptions as needed
  • Demonstrate creativity and innovation in posting positions on various social media and job search platforms.
  • Participate in job fairs and various employment events
  • Prepare job offers and hiring portfolios
  • Plan and welcome new employees according to the Fromagerie On-boarding and orientation process and procedures.

        HR Operational Support

  • Provide daily HR support to managers and employees of the Fromagerie and ensure that their questions are properly and timely addressed.
  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits, including responding to employee benefit requests.
  • Help develop and update HR and policies and procedures.
  • Process and Follow-up on WSIB claims as required
  • Daily follow up with employees on COVID 19 and sanitation protocols.
  • Maintain human resources databases, HR systems as well as manual employee filing systems.
  • Provide detailed employee reports as requested
  • Participate in HR events and social activities organization
  • Research and prepare correspondence, reports and presentations as needed
  • Translate HR communications and documents as needed


  • University degree with a Human Resources major or any other combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience. Progressive HR experience and/or experience in the recruitment process is an asset.
  • Previous Experience in an industrial/ Manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of Ontario labor laws
  • Knowledge of health and safety (OHSA) industry policies and regulations and standards is an asset.
  • High willingness to learn and grow within a progressive dynamic HR Team
  • Excellent level of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent French and English level (verbal and written)
  • Excellent planning, organization skills and rigor
