Kitchen Manager – Full Time – St-Albert, ON – 2024-0028

Under the supervision of the Customer Experience Director, the Kitchen Manager oversees the operations of the Restaurant. He/She must provide leadership to the Restaurant employees during the day-to-day operations, as well as support the Director in putting into effect an Exceptional Customer Service Program for the Guests. This needs to be accomplished while respecting the rules and laws for Health and Safety, Quality, Cleanliness and maintaining a positive working environment.

YOUR CHALLENGES:

· Put into effect an Exceptional Customer Service Program for the Guests, including but not limited to: leading by example, common courtesy and respect, answering questions and assisting Guests as needed, handling complaints, granting returns and refunds.
· Provide sound management and leadership of the Restaurant, Menu development and portion controls, food cost, inventory control, placing orders, receiving stock, stock rotation, work schedules and budgeting of hours.
· Manage daily operations of the Restaurant.
· Actively participate in the preparation, cooking and not be afraid to get your hands dirty.
· Supervise and manage the back of the house kitchen staff, promote a healthy team spirit and a pleasant atmosphere to come to work, encourage mutual aid, and ensure good communication and fluidity between the restaurant and store teams.
· Act as a coach, leader and develop staff autonomy.
· Respect and enforce rules and laws established for Health and Safety, hygiene, sanitation and Food handling at all times.
· Plan training and see to the development of knowledge for the entire team.
· Participate in establishing Promotional and Marketing initiatives.
· Achieve sales targets and profitability.
· Responsible for Opening and Closing of the Restaurant.
· Perform all other Restaurant related tasks.

WHAT YOU HAVE:

· College or post-secondary degree in Restaurant Management, Hospitality Management or Chef training or any appropriate discipline.
· Safe Serve certification is an asset.
· Minimum one year experience in a similar position.
· Pays great attention to details.
· Has a sense of responsibility, self-reliance, and resourcefulness.
· Is versatile, flexible, and reliable.
· Has an open mind and can adapt quickly to changes.
· Bilingual: French and English, spoken and written.

Status: Full Time

Work Schedule: as required by the Restaurant (days, evenings, and weekends)*

*Schedule can change to accommodate operational needs.
