YOUR CHALLENGES:
- Establish standard costs, perform follow-ups and gap analysis in accordance with established rules;
- Track actual product costs against standard costs and analyze variances;
- Maintain standard costs in the ERP system;
- Support plant operations management by performing various financial analyses for all departments of the Cooperative, i.e. manufacturing, distribution, etc;
- Preparation of monthly reports on sales, cost of goods sold, profitability, etc.;
- Tracking inventory transactions, analyzing inventory movements, explaining significant variances;
- Calculate costs when requesting quotes for new products;
- Participate in the plant’s inventory management activities;
- Participate in the development of the plant’s financial culture;
- Participate in control and audit activities organized by the finance department and reinforce internal control measures;
- Participate in various special improvement and development projects in connection with the department;
- Ensure appropriate communication of financial information internally and externally as required;
- Perform all other related tasks.
WHAT YOU HAVE:
- Minimum three years experience in a similar position;
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or other relevant discipline or other equivalent experience;
- Experience in a manufacturing and costing company;
- Accounting designation (an asset);
- Experience with ERP, WMS and EMS is a strong asset;
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and computer skills;
- Experience in continuous improvement (an asset);
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism;
- Proficiency in IT project management and numbers analysis (costs, performance indicators);
- Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail;
- Have a sense of responsibility and autonomy;
- Be versatile, flexible and reliable;
- Open-minded and able to adapt to changes;
